Why wont my Ford Explorer start. The engine needs air fuel and a spark in order to run.
Went out to the truck one day and it would crank and crank but would not start up.

I have a 1989 Ford f150 drive for about 30 minutes it dies out or stop and want crank for about an hour I would unplug the gas cap when it stalls. If you hear a hissing sound change the gas cap because it builds up a vacuum in the tank. 89 Turns over but wont start.

Should have 2 wires going to it a pinkblack and a brown. Tell me if you have power on both wires at the inertia switch when cranking Try resetting the red button first. Also You should have power on the RED and YELLOW wires at the fuel pump relay with Key ON Engine OFF.

It is highly likely that if the engine is cranking but not starting that it has thrown an OBDII code. 94 F150 50L dual tank pu cranks but wont start. Checked for spark and have that.
I checked the schrader valve and gas is present at the injectors. Battery is good as is the dizzy and rotor. It just cranks but never turns over.
