Amp wont turn on anymore. If you have just recently installed everything including your car amplifier and it wont turn on it could be because its not getting any power. Worst case scenario the car amp could be blown out from improper installation or overuse but before you come to any conclusion use these troubleshooting tips to see if you can get power to your car amp. Now the scary part.
Unplug the power cables yellow and orange going from the huge inductortransformer to each of the amplifier boards and then plug power into the amp and turn it on. Use extreme caution there is live 120V leads. Amp not turning on fix - YouTube.
AMP NOT TURNING ON HELP. Hey guys fairly new to this forum so bear with me here but just recently I installed a pair of MTX Magnum subs and the Magnum amp that came with it. Ran my power wire through the grommet by my battery and ran the rca and turn on lead to the back on the opposite side for some reason my amp wont power up.
Recently Ive been troubleshooting it testing all possible. If you are seemingly not getting any power to the amp then you are talking fuses power cord or power transformer. Now the latter is unlikely and a bad fuse is still the must likely culprit.
If you just visually checked the fuse then you didnt really check it. Plenty of fuses blow with no obvious visual damage. I tried EVERYTHING to get the amp to turn on neither amp would turn on.
Power wire has 12v ground is good een grounded to the bare metal frame. Hooked the amp remote wire up to the cd player amp line which has 9v hooked it to a 12v source still didnt turn on tried it directly from the battery feed. Tried new rca cables and nothing.
Quick way to test tap the amps remote wire to 12 volt positive once quickly this should at least flip the amp on because it would be detected like a pulse. If the amps on then great we know its the remote pioneer does use the blue and white stripe as a remote amp wire. You may need to turn it on in the pioneer settings though.
Its a cheap pioneer amp and a CHEAP sub connected to a sony head unit we had everything going nice and worked and then for some reason the amp wouldnt turn on anymore. So i connected it into my car and it worked fine and then back in his car and still doesnt work. I recommend trying to reinstall the firmware using a smart device or computer connected to the amp via USB.

The amp is plugged in. The amp is turned on. The amp is not in standby mode.

Bypass the fuse holder in the b cable and connect to the battery. The goal is just to get the amp to turn on at this point. If it lights up then your fuse holder is the likely problem.

This is just a matter of getting replacement lightbulbs EDIT. If after replacing the fuse the new fuse blows dont try using it anymore.
