When I start my boat up in the mornings and go out everything is fine but when I park it in the afternoon for a few hours it will not restart. I have a 2001 Launch with the 57L Indmar 350 EFI direct drive.

Boat wont start after sitting. Heres what its doing. Take it out to the river and back it in on the ramp turn the key n pump the throttle a few times and starts right up no problems at all. Go drive around for awhile or take my brother tubing and it runs great.
Shut it off for 5-10 minutes even a half hour and itll start right back up. Pull up to the same sand bar we always park at and let it sit for a few hours. Wont start at all.
1st time i went out with it always fired up but it never sat. Boat wont start after 3 weeks sitting. I was told that the boat has 2 different fuel pumps for high and low pressure.

2 Get the tool that you can run the oil pump through the distributor hole and get full oil pressure. Boat fires up beautifully when cold and runs without issue. After skiing for a bit and shutting it down it wont start until I raise the engine cover and let it sit for 3-5 minutes.

If it does start it will barely idle for 10-30 seconds then die. Engine Cranks But Wont Start. If your boat has an emergency shutoff switch check that the cap is firmly in place or the engine might not start.
If you experience trouble starting the engine engine hesitation loss of power or decreased acceleration you may have failing spark plugs. Try to start my boatturn on battery turn key and everything seems the work blower stereo lights etc. Turn key to ignite engine but it wont ignite to start.
My 94 Prostar 205 with the 350 TBI starts fine when its cold but once its up to temp if I let it sit a couple minutes it is hard to start. It use to take three or four tries but this morning it was more like 7. It runs fine once it is started and will start up fine if you turn it off and then right back on.

If you are going to let your boat sit for 6 months or more you should run Fuel Stabilzer through the fuel system. The Fuel Stabilzer will keep the fuel from ruining the fuel pump. Electric fuel pumps make a whinning noise when they run.
Dont get stuck at the boat ramp - fix your outboards fast with these basic troubleshooting tips. When you back down the ramp turn the key and nothing happens its a problem. Or it would be if you hadnt seen this video on basic troubleshooting when your outboards wont start.
Wait about 10 minutes and try starting again. Do not use the choke open the throttle all the way and try starting again it will usually take at least 2 to 3 pulls. If it doesnt start with a half dozen pulls wait 10 minutes and try again.
Sometimes after flooding it will start and then die. It is ideal to remove the drive and check the engine alignment after sitting for so long. Bad mounts can ruin the engine drive coupler.
Start the engine on the hose before going to the ramp and check the shifting and all your gauges for proper opertation. Watch your engines temperature voltage and oil pressure while running on the hose. When we go to start the engine it fires immediately.
