Computer clicks but wont turn on. I would suggest disassembling the whole PC video card ram everything and motherboard too. Then reassemble it carefully. This should do the trick.
This was over 2 weeks ago and what I ended up doing was replacing the motherboard power supply and processor and I. Power down the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is a removable one.
Hold down the power button of the unit for 15 seconds to discharge static electrical charges inside the machine. Replace the battery and reconnect the charger. Try to power on the computer.
Please check if this works. Unplug the system remove or disconnect the battery and hold the power button for 30 sec. If the system has a hard drive remove and reinstall it as well.
Verify that the AC adapter LED is ON before you plug in the notebook end. Everything was working and this morning when I was in bed I hear a clicking noise from my laptop that was sitting on my desk so I immediately turn the laptop off by holding down the power button. Windows 81 laptop wont boot making clicking sound. I took my cp-850 and put it in another computer and it booted up fine. Took another power supply and put it in my desktop that is the source of the problem and the same click onoff problem continued to occur.

September 27 2010 025957 PM Thanks for your responses I know the power supply is good if use another power supply it does the same thing faint clicking sound and the little green led on the back of the power supply flickers with the power supply. If your PC wont turn on but motherboard light is on a potential culprit is the power button on the case itself or the wires connecting that button to the motherboard. Check to see if your motherboard has an onboard power button.

According to the manual both are indicating normal status AC power is connected and BMC Heartbeat respectively.
