TNSmith is right most 90 E-TECs have had what I would consider minor problems mine included. I had an issue with mine two days in a row this year but have yet been able to replicate it. I would never trade mine for anything except a newer 90.

Hey guys well as stated in my topic my 2008 90 hp etec is giving me a slight issue after start up the other week I noticed it was running a bit rough so I spoke to a marine mech about he said not to worry bout it to much it seemed to me like a plug wasnt firing as well as it should but when I gave it a little rpm it would seem to be ok. I bought an etec 90 had it 16 days done 135 hrs and the problem is it uses bugger all fuel 41nm for 25 litres and the oil i have used about 500mls in 135 hrs and that includes the double oil for the first 10 hours.
