No trailer right turn signal or brake light. In this situation it is almost always a bad ground connection.

No brake lights on trailer. On a trailer the brake lights and turn signals operate on the same wirebulb. So it is odd when the turn signals work but the brake lights dont. There are 3 possible causes for this that are more likely than any of the other possible causes.
Why do I have brake lights but no tail lights on trailer. Typically the lampsignal is grounded through the mounting bolts having direct contact with the trailer frame. If the area that the lights are mounted to is not a good source of ground you will need to run a separate wire from each light to a clean corrosion free metal surface of the trailer to obtain your ground.

If you want you turn signals to operate the brake lights your best option is to tap into the rear tractor light circuit to get the power to your 6-round plug for the turn signals since the tail lights on the tractor operate in the same dual-function manner turnbrake lights. Did you check to make sure you have brake lights on the truck. Your truck has seperate turn signals and brake lights which is different from most.
If you have brake lights on the truck and not on the trailer it sounds like there is something wrong with the converter that combines the ts and brake lights. I have lights to both units tractor and trailer but whenever I apply my brakes I get only the brake lights on the tractor but no trailer brake lights I have connected to several trailers and the issue is the same no trailer brake lights does anyone have a clue what this could be I have a new pigtail and a new connector which the pigtail connects to at the back of the tractor and still no brake lights on the trailer. When I hook up to a trailer and test everything works except for brake lights.
I checked for power at pins 39 on the 7-pin and only have power present there with blinker and not brakes. Ive check all fuses related to the tow package 1351941 and all are good. I tested the trailer on another vehicle and the brake lights work.
This will also confirm if there is an issue with the switches. Otherwise check the trailer relay for the brake lights in the relay box. That one if I recall right off has a relay box under the glove box.
There is the relay box at the driver feet one outside the cab under the hood and one under the glove box. Furthermore why dont my brake lights work on my trailer. This is because the brake lights and turn signals on trailer tail lights are on the same circuit.
If the wrong bulb is lighting up it is likely just that the turn signalbrake light wire is attached to the tail light running light wire and the running light wire is attached to the trailer turn signalbrake light wire. The problem is the brake lights dont work on the trailer It has the flat 4 wire connection and plugs end to the wire from the trike. Tail lights work and both signal lights work but when you apply the brakes there is no current coming from the trike to turn on the brake lights.
I have no brake lights on my semi trailer. All the lights work on truck and trailer except the trailer brake lights tractor brake lights work. The red wire coming out of the electric pig tail on truck for the brake light works while not plugged in trailer 7 way socket.

No power at red wire in trailer light cord. None at plug in behind cab. 6 wire cord goes to a 5 wire connector but the brake light wire turns into 2 red wires then a connector.
No power at connector either. When the trailer is not connected at all the message from the trailer brake is a bit different showing a pop up that shows trailer disconnected. When trailer was connected it popped up like it should - but underneath the gain settings shows no trailer and the brakes.
Obxlvr13 you didnt mention if your brake lights work after the trailer is disconnected. Like mentioned the BCM controls each rear lamp with an individual circuit. Each individual circuit is not fuse protected.
If those individual circuits are tapped for additional lights its possible this overloaded the drivers in the BCM and burned them out. In the event that all of the lights seem to be dim or the lights are not on at all inspect the trailers light harness connection right at the truck. Your first port of call would be to unplug the harness and then use a tester.
The trailer light tester when plugged in would immediately inform you if the problem stems from your truck. No trailer right turn signal or brake light. Initially ROW changed to NA - same fault 1 coded with helper. Trailer has incandescent bulbs - left and right signals work running lights work - no brake lights. Initially had Pollack to 4-pin connected got fault - cleared.
