They do sell adapters just about everywhere that plug into a standard lighter socket and have a USB output. I have seen them as low as 500. I eventually decided the wiring for the console USB is just not compatible with Android Auto.
I tried a few different options but wound up replacing the cigarette lighter port on the dash with a flush mount dual USB port. I have not had any Android Auto issues since the USB port install. I made a video of it.
