What does a tow package consist of. Towing packages come with stronger engine components replacement parts cleaning kits and other items needed to increase an engines power. Yup the tow pack is 373 gears a trans cooler and trailer wiring minus the plug in the jack storage spot in the rear of the van. Posted October 26 2006. I cant answer your question fully but I heard that the tow package contains the tranny cooler hitch wiring and a deeper pan for the tranny fluid and possibly the heavy duty air filter.
I am not sure if the G80 Rear end is a tow only option. Not familiar enough for. The z71 has the recovery hook while the 44 does not have the recovery hook for towing.
The z71 comes with the brushed seal plates on the door while the regular 44 does not have the seal plates. Z71 also comes with a skid plate. The regular 44 does not have the fitted skid plate.
The tire treads of the z71 makes them more suited for off-roads. And how do you know if your truck came from the factory with the Chevrolet truck towing package.
